Boy's State 2016 Michigan:

After a long and successful week at Boy's State, I am excited to upload the musical progress made at this camp. For me, this ensemble is like nothing I have ever seen or conducted before. These boys have never played together; a few never touched their instrument. For one week they worked together in an environment which was not that of a classroom. It was more relaxed and geared towards enjoying the art of playing music together.

 

For me, this what being a music educator is all about; not a student's ability to perform but the musical experience recieved at the end of the day.
